On July 16-20, 2017, the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) will hold their annual conference in Cartagena, Colombia. The conference theme is “Transforming Culture, Politics & Communication: New media, new territories, new discourses.”
Several IPSP authors will attend the event, and one session of the conference will be dedicated to discussing Chapter 13 of the IPSP report. Chapter 13, on Media and Communications, discusses the complex role of media in creating and maintaining connections between people, with both positive and negative implications for social progress.
