On Tuesday, October 9th, Cumberland Lodge will host a launch event for the newly published IPSP report.

Cumberland Lodge is an educational charity located in Windsor, England, devoted to tackling social divisions by promoting creative thinking and inclusive dialogue. It accomplishes this mission by hosting conferences, lectures, and seminars, sponsoring fellowships and scholarships, and through a wide variety of other programs.

The launch event will be held in the evening, from 17:00 to 20:00. It will include a panel discussion with three IPSP members:

  • Grace Davie, Professor Emeritus at the University of Exeter and lead author of Chapter 16 (“Religions and Social Progress”)
  • Ottmar Edenhofer, Director and Chief Economist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and a lead author of Chapter 4 (“Economic Growth, Human Development and Welfare”)
  • Sofie Wolthers, director of A New Society, a documentary on the making of the IPSP report (watch the trailer here!)

Each of the panelists will introduce a different section of the IPSP report. Copies of the report will be available for purchase at the event from Cambridge University Press. The event will conclude with a reception and drinks.

The event is free; please visit this site to register. You can find out more on the Cumberland Lodge website.
