The Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul in Campo Grande is set to host the annual meeting of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC) on July 21st to 27th. The event congregates academics and students from all disciplines around the world. Elisa Reis, Professor of Political Sociology at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, is set to give a keynote speech at this event. Professor Reis serves on the Steering Committee, the Scientific Council, and as a Coordinating Lead Author for Chapter 1: Social Trends and New Geographies.
