On February 1–2, the T20 Group held a high-level conference in Johannesburg, South Africa, to discuss the G20’s relationship with Africa. The T20 (or Think20) is an international network of research organizations dedicated to advising the G20 group ahead of their upcoming summit in Germany. The conference gave researchers and decision makers an opportunity to discuss ways to promote sustainable development in Africa and to strengthen the G20’s ties to the continent.

IPSP author Gianluca Grimalda, a Coordinating Lead Author for Chapter 8, participated in the conference. The IPSP is part of the T20 network as a member of the Council for Global Problem Solving. The IPSP is co-chairing a task force in the T20 on global inequalities and social cohesion.
