On Tuesday, January 22, the Comité 21 will hold a debate on the topic of “Humanity, Humanism, and the Climate.” The Comité 21 is a non-profit organization that advises decision-makers on sustainable policies to implement the Agenda 21 and COP 21 climate goals.

The debate will bring together environmental and social-scientific perspectives. Featured participants are Valerie Masson-Delmotte, co-president of Working Group 1 of the IPCC, and Marie-Laure Djelic, a member of the IPSP steering committee. The debate will be moderated by Bettina Laville, president of the Comité 21. The event also marks the French release of A Manifesto for Social Progress, the book accompanying the main IPSP report.

The event is hosted by Les Canaux, a startup accelerator that supports projects with the dual goals of solidarity and sustainability. It is located in a historical building on Quai de la Seine, Paris.

The event will run from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. For more information, please see this announcement.
