On September 29-30, the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, will host a conference in honor of the 500th anniversary of Thomas More’s Utopia as well as the 25th anniversary of UCL’s Hoover Chair of Economic and Social Ethics. The theme of the conference is “Utopias for our Times” and it will feature several IPSP members: Erik Schokkaert (Ch. 2) and Philippe van Parijs (Scientific Council) are organizing the conference, and Ravi Kanbur (Steering Committee and Scientific Council) and Erik Olin Wright (Scientific Council) are speaking as well.
