On Tuesday, December 4, two social progress-oriented entrepreneurship events will begin in Helsinki, Finland.

Slush Global Impact Accelerator is a world-renowned startup and investment conference aimed at promoting new companies with a positive global impact. The events aims to create a global startup community and change attitudes toward entrepreneurship around the world.

Dr. Ravi Kanbur, a member of the IPSP Scientific Council, will be a featured speaker at a Slush workshop on sustainable entrepreneurship.

At the same time, the Oxygen 2018 “Transformative Business Unconference” will be held at the Kilta-Sali, also in Helsinki. The theme of Oxygen 2018 is “Rethink! Ventures for a better world.” Structured as an “unconference,” the event calls for open participation and crowd-sourced ideas to discuss the future of transformative business.

Dr. Kanbur is one of two keynote speakers at the event, and he will present the central take-home message of the IPSP report: “A better society is possible.”
