Stefano Bartolini is an economist at the University of Siena and serves as a lead author of Chapter 2 – Social Progress… A Compass. In this interview, he emphasizes the importance of creating intimate and social relationships in achieving happiness and describes how society is beginning to realize that material wealth is not the most important measure of progress. He also explains why it is necessary to reorganize the way that people work, commute, and interact in cities in order for urban populations to be more happy.
